Principle Investigator

Dr. Chris Cartmell is an interdisciplinary natural product chemist within the Department of Pharmacology, College of Medicine, specializing in discovery of bioactive small molecules from extremophilic microbes. He is a member of the Applied NanoBioscence and Medicine, the Comprehensive Center for Pain and Addiction, and the University of Arizona Cancer Center

Nabhan Fakrudin is a graduate researcher working out of the center for Applied NanoBioscience and Medicine at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine Phoenix campus. His work within the Cartmell lab focuses on the development of optical devices enabling high-throughput screening of natural products
